DFJ began investing in China in 2000, funding over 20 companies including industry leaders Baidu (BIDU), Focus Media (FMCN), and KongZhong (KONG). We have established a local presence in Shanghai in order to work closely with our Chinese entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses.

DFJ in China invests primarily in growth-stage companies in the IT, cleantech, hardware, life science, and consumer/media sectors.

Together, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DFJ DragonFund, our Global Network Partner focusing on early-stage investing in China, and the DFJ Global Network, offer entrepreneurs in the region a differentiated advantage in building value for their companies both in China and globally.
