15 DFJ Companies Win the 2008 AlwaysOn Going Green 100 Awards

Synthetic Genomics Named the Overall Winner


Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) and its Global Network of Funds, the most active global cleantech investors, today announced that fifteen of their portfolio companies were recognized as finalists in the AlwaysOn 2008 Going Green 100 Awards honoring the top private cleantech companies. The fifteen companies include: Synthetic Genomics, the overall winner; Biofuel Box and Greenfuel Technologies for Biofuels; CoalTek and GreatPoint Energy for Clean Energy; Glycos Bio and EoPlex Technologies for Clean Manufacturing; d.light design for Energy Efficiency and Management; Deeya Energy for Energy Storage Systems; Tesla Motors for Green Automobiles; ARXX Building Products for Green Materials; Genomatica for Green Nanotech/Genomics; and Bright Source Energy, Konarka, and SolarCity for Solar Energy. GoingGreen's evaluation board reviewed more than 500 nominated companies and identified 100 global leaders. Since 2001, DFJ and its Global Network of Funds have invested in 57 cleantech companies worldwide.
