Biography

David graduated in Production Engineering from Escola Politecnica da Universidade de Sao Paulo and Business Administration from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP); he holds an MBA from IMD/Universidade of Geneva.

David worked for Alcan Aluminio do Brasil S.A. for 14 years in several areas, mainly the international area, where he was in charge of the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Asia markets, besides acting as COO of the Conducting Cables Division.

He worked for the AES Group as CEO of Cemig - Companhia Energetica de Minas Gerais S.A., and CEO of Gasmig - Companhia de Gas de Minas Gerais.

He was Vice President of AESEletropaulo, responsible for business projects outside the scope of concession contract, and was in charge of the technology area.

He was a Board Member of Cemig, AESEletropaulo and Empresa de Geracao Tiete.

He was also a Board Member of Telemig Celular, Amazonia Celular, Eletronet, Empresa de Infovias S.A. and WayBrasil Telecomunicacoes.

He is currently a Board Member in several companies undergoing a management and corporate governance modernization process.

David worked for Sebrae-MG as Director Superintendent, where he was in charge of Minas Gerais' small and medium businesses globalization project and development of the education model for implementation of a technical school network for professional development of young entrepreneurs.

He was professor at Escola de Engenharia da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto and currently teaches at Fundacao Dom Cabral in programs aimed at preparing companies and executives in the globalization process. He has several works published, and participates in surveys about globalization of emerging countries' companies.

He is CEO of FIR Capital.
