Biography
Donald H. Jones is a Managing Director of Draper Triangle. Don is a nationally recognized entrepreneur and investor with over 30 years of experience in growing early stage companies involved in: information technology, telecommunications, Internet-related businesses, advanced automation, and medical technologies.
Don was the founder and CEO of four highly successful technology companies including International Cybernetics Corporation, Control Systems Research, Technology Recognition Corp. and IndustryNet. In addition, Don has provided capital and management resources for many other early stage companies that have experienced dramatic growth.
In addition to serving as a director of numerous portfolio companies, including Aethon, Inc., Don has also served on the boards of several publicly-held companies, including Respironics, Inc. He is also active in business school education and endowed the Center for Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University.
Don is an electrical engineering/computer science graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a former adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
