Biography

Lindsay has more than 23 years of experience in the venture capital industry, including over 12 years of direct investing and fund management experience.

Prior to Element, Lindsay was a Partner at Advent International Corporation. Lindsay joined Advent in 1990 to develop and manage focused venture capital investment funds for multinational corporations. Lindsay raised Advent's first energy focused fund, EnviroTech, in 1995, and raised Advent's second focused energy technology fund, Advent Energy II, which had a final close in 2002. Lindsay managed the Advent Energy II fund and served on the fund's investment committee and investment team. Prior to joining Advent, Lindsay worked for 6 years at Venture Economics, a leading provider of research, consulting, and information services for the venture capital industry.

Lindsay has served on boards including Active Power, Inc., Cellit, Inc., Dymec Inc., and ISOPur Fluid Technologies, Inc.

Lindsay received a BA in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Middlebury College.
