Elizabeth (Beezer) Clarkson is a Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where she focuses on the global expansion of DFJ's Network Affiliate Funds into new geographic and sector markets. Most recently, Ms. Clarkson was an Investment Manager at Omidyar Network, a $400M fund by Pierre Omidyar, the founder of eBay. There she invested in information technology and financial services, as well as fund investments on a world-wide basis. Ms. Clarkson also serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet, a non-profit arts organization. Prior to Omidyar Network, Ms. Clarkson was a Business Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Consumer PC Global Business Division. At HP, she oversaw all business development and strategic direction for the ISP and Security categories including managing negotiations for multi-year global contracts. Prior to Hewlett-Packard, Ms. Clarkson was with LC39, a $40M early stage VC fund based in New York City. In her role as General Manager she sourced early stage technology investments and also acted as VP of Business Development for select portfolio companies in the financial services space. Earlier she was a management consultant for Towers Perrin, providing counsel on business strategy, management and organizational effectiveness out of their San Francisco office. Ms. Clarkson has also worked as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley in their Global Infrastructure Group with clients located in North America, Indonesia, China, Japan and the Middle East. Ms. Clarkson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government at Wesleyan University, where she was awarded an International Relations Certificate, and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
