Biography
Moshe has been involved in the Israeli high-tech industry since its early days, and has 25 years of management experience in the international arena. Prior to joining Tamir Fishman Ventures, Mr. Levin was a partner at Pitango Venture Capital, a leading Israeli VC, and led new investments with a focus on companies operating in the communications space, both Telecom and Enterprise communications, including optical and wireless infrastructure. He was supporting many of these companies throughout their buildup and market penetration; among others he served on the Board of Directors of Phonetic Systems (as Co-Chairman; the company was acquired recently by Scansoft - SSFT), iamba, RADWIN, Sagitta and Serconet.
Before joining Pitango in late 1999, Mr. Levin was the President of ESC Medical Systems Inc., the world leader in aesthetic and medical laser systems. Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of Orbotech, Inc., the world leader in optical inspection systems for Printed Circuit Board and Flat Panel Display industries. He also served as the President of Fibronics International Inc., the first worldwide communications company to introduce FDDI high-speed fiber-optic networks to the marketplace.
Mr. Levin holds a B.Sc degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer Science from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.
